Please note that the following changes will remain in effect until all quarantine orders are completely lifted.

General Changes

• We have modified our operating hours to 8:00 am – 5:00 pm until the quarantine is lifted. This will allow us additional time before opening and after closing each day for additional sanitization.
• We are asking that you notify us immediately and stay away from the center, if you, your child or anyone in the household is sick or has come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
• Parent access will be limited to the lobby area only as parents will no longer be allowed in the classrooms.
• All our staff is getting daily health checks including taking their temperature readings upon reporting for work and wear masks during the day while caring for the children. They also wash their hands regularly in addition to the regular sanitizing of toys and stations that are used throughout the day.
• After the initial health check at drop off, children will be monitored throughout the day for a fever, shortness of breath, dry cough, gastrointestinal symptoms, or a skin rash. Children who are sent home for any of these symptoms will require a medical clearance from a physician before being allowed to return to care.
• We will have no more than a total of 10 children and teachers at one time in any classroom, until further notice.

• Any parent, child, or staff that is exposed to COVID-19 will have to observe a 14-day waiting period before they are able to return to the program. Children or staff who test positive for COVID-19 must have a Physician’s note clearing them to return.

Updated Daily Drop Off Procedures (Effective June 1, 2020)

• A staff member will be stationed at the front door/reception area to perform daily health checks and get the temperature readings of parents and children upon entry into the center. The receiving staff member will also ask if parents have given their children any fever medication at home prior to bringing them to school.
• All parents coming into the building will be required to wear a mask.
• Parents must sanitize their hands first and then sign their children in on the attendance tracking tablet as well as the IVR/POS machine (if applicable).
• Parents will NOT be permitted to proceed past the reception desk area at drop-off as a designated staff member will take your child to their classroom.
• If the parent has a stroller or car seat, they must be taken home. When that is not feasible, they may be left in the reception area if there’s room available and if it will not block any evacuation routes.

 Updated Daily Pick Up Procedures (Effective June 1, 2020)

• The Director or a staff member will be available in the reception area beginning at 3:00 pm.
• When parents come in for pick up, they must wear a mask and sanitize their hands first. After which they may then sign their child out on the attendance tracking tablet as well as the IVR/POS machine (if applicable).
• The Director or an assigned staff member will call the class where your child is located to have a teacher in the classroom bring your child and their belongings out to meet the parent in the front reception area.

Sanitizing Throughout the Day

• The center is being cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.  Prior to opening and at closing, our staff sanitizes each classroom in use, including the light switches and the doorknobs.
• Tables are being cleaned before and after each meal and after each table activity.
• Toys are being sanitized throughout the day and left to air dry in a secure area so that they can be used again as appropriate.
• After restroom and meal breaks, our staff is sanitizing the facilities they use including surfaces and doorknobs.

Our Staff

• We have educated and trained our staff on maintaining safety considering the Coronavirus and how to work and care for the children appropriately while keeping everyone involved safe and healthy.
• We are asking our staff to stay home if they feel ill, and especially if they have a fever, cough, or other symptoms.

• Staff who feel unwell must call their medical practitioner and inform them of their symptoms as well as their status as an essential worker so they can get a referral to either go to the hospital or a drive-up testing site to have a COVD-19 test done before being allowed to return to work.
• We have asked our staff to limit their daily routine to home, work, and essential activities only.

• Our staff wear masks and socially distance the children from each other as much as possible, by positioning themselves between the children to keep them from touching each other.
